Frequently Asked Questions

Things that we do not understand in life can be scary....Financial Hope Services helped me to face my fears of the unknown.

Why do I need Financial Coaching?

The path to change is never easy. Get someone beside you to encourage and cheer you on, however, and the task becomes easier. Through strategic questions, advice, encouragement, and challenge, a financial coach gives you the support you need to make progress and crush your goals!

According to a 2017 CareerBuilder survey, 78% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, and 66% couldn’t cover a $1,000 emergency. You don’t have to live with that kind of stress. You don’t have to be ‘normal’!

What will you do to help me?

We will start with looking at your current financial situation, dreams, and goals. If you decide that financial coaching is the right step for you, we will help you to understand the emotions and behaviors that have led to your current situation, help you develop a plan toward a better financial future, and be your accountability partner in the process. Ultimately, we want to bring hope to you and your family!

What will it cost me?

We have multiple packages available to meet the needs of our clients. At our initial complementary consultation, we will help you to decide which option would work best for you and your financial situation.

Beyond the financial investment, you will also need to invest the emotional desire to change your financial future and bring hope to your situation. It will take time and intentionality on your part to make the necessary changes.

Why can’t I just talk to an accountant or financial advisor?

An accountant will help you file your taxes. A financial advisor will help you invest your money. We help you better manage your money. In addition to the basic mechanics of money management, this includes working with the emotions behind your decision-making, the behavioral habits you’ve developed, and the relationships involved in the process.

Will you pressure me to purchase something?

We offer financial coaching, but we recognize that this is not something that everyone wants, needs, or is ready for. You might decide that this is what you need to make progress toward your financial goals. Or you might find that the free consultation was all you needed to get focused and intentional. Either way, we want to offer you the help, resources, and encouragement to get started.

Where will the consultation and coaching sessions take place?

Zoom is the preferred method of communication for many of our clients. If you indicate when scheduling the consultation that you would like to meet in-person, we are based in Elk Grove, CA and will contact you to set up a convenient location.

Will my spouse or significant other need to attend?

It’s difficult to make a change when you and your spouse are not on the same page. As such, we request that both you and your spouse attend the consultation. This also applies to a significant other if they are involved in your finances.
